Here is a poll on the new fountain being installed at the country club glorieta.I believe this is essentially a carbon copy, although a bit smaller, of the one in Guaymas on the malecon.

No, I don’t think SC needs one. I have been living there for 18 years and we always have water shortage.
Back in 1993-94 all the islands from RT15 to Club Med though GSC were filled with 3800 palms and 1000,s flowering bushes…With a drip water system …It lasted only a few year and the water bill was never paid…So most every thing dried up and died…The fountain in The City of Guaymas is mostly dirty and not used much any more… Nice to see working for the first few months and the same thing will happen here in GSC…AS in Guaymas … The State of Son., is the money bags…
Just like in the USA…Money is put aside for projects and if it is not spent…They get less the on coming year…
NICE looking 2″ thin cement side walks ………….Until a bus or dump truck drives up on the thin cement..CRACK and the rains will wash the under fill out…It,s just a sandy soil fill…
These project keep the politicians pockets filled and Mexican working…
I am sure the side walks called for most likely 4″ of cement…Politicians probably used the extra cement some where other then in San Carlos…
Actually if I remember correctly the first set of palm trees all died and then the city went ahead and replaced them all once again.
After some research it seems the normal amount of kick back for projects like this are around 10% so that is usually what the contractor has to pay back to get the job.
10% is dreaming …Taking of materials and padding the pay roll is just a starter…Larry…
