illegal permits allow Creston public beach to be exploited for greedy land developing

This weeks San Carlos TV. report is about a recent land grab going on at the Creston Beach located right behind the creston hotel in the heart of San Carlos.

What appears to have happened is that some how the City officials in Guaymas issued permits for someone to build a private house on what has been a public beach for the last 30 years.

Someone getting an illegal permit to build where they can´t or shady realtors committing frauds against investors or trying to steel property out right from legal owners I am sad to say is nothing new here in San Carlos.

But what makes this story interesting is how local residents of all nationalities have decided to fight back against a totally illegal land grab. I went to a meeting at Bananas last week and afterwards spoke with Miguel Dominguez about the issue. So I will certainly be keeping a close eye on how this story unfolds in the weeks to come since I am very interested to see how the new Mayor and his administration in Guaymas handle this. The question for me is will it be business as usual, will power and privilage prevail as it has in so many other cases or truth & justice. Stay tuned as I will give a very detailed report on this when more information comes to light. Miguel was to deliver papers to Guaymas the day after I filmed this interview which was Thursday of last week. The paper work was signed by many here in San Carlos and demanded the that construction project stop immediately.

If you would get involved with the group fighting this illegal land grap email me Vince@SanCarlos.tv and I will give you the contact info & please feel free to leave a comment below!!!

See ya next week!!

  2. Great job Vince! It is important that as many people as possible – Mexican, Canadian, US, and world citizens – see what has happened already, and what can be done after the chicanery has been brought to light.
