Yesterday there was what appears to be a running gunbattle through the streets of Rocky Point. Five assailants appear to be dead. Here is the link from Tucson Weekly news letter. Here is the story as it appears in the El Imparcial out of Hermosillo. There was a youtube video that has been removed of part of the incident. The shooting started at 5 a.m. in the morning and it has been reported that a Black Hawk Helicopter engaged the subjects and with that kind of fire power it was pretty much a done deal for the Narcos. There appears to be no collateral damage reported at the moment.

So it would appear that Rocky Point which seems to have remained mostly violent free finally gets a piece of the violence pie that has become a failed state here in Sonora. You can be there will be plenty of info coming out shortly on this.
