Hi Ines — As American trust holders in Mexico, are our trust records public somewhere (a Guaymas governmental office) for anyone to see? Could a person go to (Public Office X) to see our trust for the condo we have, with our names, not the bank’s name that really owns the property? Thanks AFelix

I spoke with Kimberly from Consultants International who I recommend highly and here was her response

yes The names are public. The public registry in Guaymas is to have all deeds to properties, and for a fee, you can find out who owns what. You can read the document. Sometimes the public registry will ask for what reason. As a realtor they never ask…..we solicite and they dig it up.
